"Dobogoko: The Heart of the Earth" is a commissioned work by the TRANSDANUBIA SYMPHONIC BAND of Hungary, created specifically for their participation in the Mitteleuropa Blasmusikfest in Croatia. The piece is inspired by Dobogókő, a mountain located in Hungary that is considered a sacred place and pilgrimage site for Hungarian neopagans—followers of a revived Táltos faith, which is akin to shamanism.

It is said that Dobogókő is the "heart chakra" of the Earth, a reference originating from spiritual and mystical traditions of Hinduism, yoga, and Tantric Buddhism. In these traditions, the fourth main chakra, the heart chakra, is called Anahata, which in Sanskrit means "invincible" or "unconquered," symbolizing balance, calmness, and serenity. It also relates to the Vedic concept of Anahata Nagara, the celestial sound that signifies the divine realm.

The work aims to reflect this deep spiritual connection, evoking balance, inner peace, and reverence for nature and spirit, inspired by the symbolism and beliefs associated with the heart chakra.
